Karanganyar Police have arrested two suspects overthe already-infamous Indonesia Islamic Universitytragedy that led tothree deaths aftera camping trip to Mount Lawu.
The two suspects werearrested in the Adventure Clubs post. One of them, Muhammad Wahyudi (25) is a university alumnus who studied industrial engineering. Meanwhile, Angga Septiawan (27) is still a student studying Islamic economics.
From the preliminaryinvestigation we found out that their roles were to whip, punch, and kick the victims. We are still trying to find other possible roles," Karanganyar Police Chief Sr. Comr. Ade Safri Simanjutak said to Detik.

Police also confiscated three mobile phones, two mountaineering boots, two bags, basic training uniforms, a cane and ropes from the suspects.

Police investigated 16 camping trip comittee members in Karanganyar Police station on Tuesday. The witnesses were accompanied by theie former rector Harsoyo.
I'm just bringing them here, [but I] wont accompany them during the investigation so that none will think I am intervening. I have told all of them to be cooperative during the investigation, Harsoyo said to media.
According to Harsoyo, there would be a team of legal advisor consisting of the university's alumni and former Adventure Club members to assist the investigation.
We are going to investigate the witnesses' duties[in the camping trip], their sections, their standard operating procedures, and capacity. (Also) what they did when they witnessed the incident," he said.
