Brilio.net/en - PANTONE has released the color of the year for 2017. Different from the tones of the 2016 dual colors, bluish Serenity and pinkish Rose Quartz, the color for next year will be a fresh, zesty color inspired by the nature: Greenery.
On their website, PANTONE stated "A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings."
The color Greenery, which goes with the code 15-0343, is the color of light green leaves, matcha (green tea), green grapes, green apple, kiwi fruit, succulent plant, or grass. It is said to evoke the first days of spring "when nature's greens revive, restore and renew." It also serves as a signal for people to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
With everything that has happened along 2016, the color may just offer a little cheerfulness to what has been a relatively gloomy year for many.

Some people also say the Color Of The Year 2017 is dedicated to the green lady of Brooklyn, Elizabeth Sweetheart, the fabric designer who has been wearing green for over the past 20 years. Ms. Sweetheart told the New York Times that she wears green because having born and grew up in Nova Scotia, she missed having green all around her.
"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment," saidLeatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the PANTONE Color Institute.
