Brilio.net - Ambon is one of the charming cities in Indonesia. Located in the Maluku Islands, this city is very historic and has existed since the 16th century. Therefore, it is not wrong that in Ambon there are many antique and interesting historical sites to visit.

Not only attracting the attention of domestic tourists, Ambon is also a tourist destination for foreign tourists. Recently, a traveler who actively creates content on YouTube named Nick K shared his moments while on holiday in Ambon. This foreigner from America visited a village called Kaitetu.

It is known that Kaitetu Village has a long history of the journey of the Maluku people when they were still colonized by the Portuguese and Dutch. This is proven by the many historical buildings that still carry the typical colonial concept. The building is even centuries old.

There are two very historic religious buildings, namely the church and the mosque. Through his vlog, Nick shows his moment when he visited the oldest mosque in Ambon. When he arrived there, he was quite surprised to find himself in the mosque which he knew was built 600 years ago.

While enjoying the architectural beauty of the building and observing the wooden supports of this old mosque, Nick was greeted by a mosque marbot who was also a Koran teacher. Interestingly, the Koran teacher welcomed Nick with fluent English.

"Welcome to my village, welcome to Ambon, and welcome to my mosque (welcome to my village, welcome to Ambon, and welcome to our mosque)," said the Koran teacher named Arsat, quoted by brilio.net from YouTube /Nick K, Friday (5/4).

Knowing that the middle-aged man in front of him could speak English well, Nick immediately asked about information regarding this historic mosque. The mosque, called the Old Wapauwe Mosque, was built in 1414.

Initially this mosque was called the Wawane Mosque because it was built on the slopes of Mount Wawane by Perdana Jamilu, a descendant of the Jailolo Sultanate from Moloku Kie Raha (North Maluku). Arsat also said that this mosque had been visited by many people from abroad. When welcoming them, Arsat adapted their language because he claimed to be fluent in 4 foreign languages.

"I speak English, Dutch too, and German, and Italian. I'm a teacher, I just retired 4 years ago," said Arsat.

While amazed, Nick did not forget to praise the friendliness shown by Arsat and the residents of the city of Ambon.

"I'm very happy here, the people are nice," said Nick.

The video he shared also provoked netizens to respond in the comments column.

" Masya Allah, Mr. Ustadz Arsyad is cool, masters 4 languages or more. May Mr. Ustadz Asyad always be given health and a long life, " wrote the account owner @udafirman29.

" I like it when I see Ambonese people who are good at speaking English, and now their parents are steady ," said @fandrilesiela4457.

" I like the content in villages like this. There is a lot of historical value and we learn a lot, especially the culture. So the sense of mutual respect for each other is getting higher, " said @yutubsaya5040.
