THR money doesn't buy cellphones or toys, this kid's choice makes netizens throw their hats in the ring

Netizen: why didn't you think of it before? Muhamad Ikhlas Alfaridzi

Brilio.net - Eid Al-Fitr 2024 is over. Now, people have returned to their respective countries and are returning to their activities as before.

When the parents have returned to earning a living, there are several children who are busy calculating the amount of THR money they received from their relatives.

Starting from grandfathers, older brothers, uncles and cousins, the money is usually used to buy favorite objects or food. The child can use the THR money to buy a cellphone, new toys, or things that support the child's hobbies.

But things like the above were not chosen by the following boy. Different from most kids his age, he chose a choice that has amazed netizens recently.

Through a viral video uploaded by the child's mother, Arifah, with the TikTok account @arifahalfiyanti, she directed her son to put the THR money he got into his Hajj savings .

The son seemed to agree and saved the money for Hajj savings. The son was also seen signing the documents himself. This action went viral and received praise from netizens. Arifah explained the reason why she put her children's THR money into Hajj savings.

" Why save for Hajj? Because when I was on Hajj my children were really very upset, crying all the time ," he wrote.

Apart from that, Arifah also considered the queues for the Hajj which were already very long. Therefore, he told his son to save for Hajj since the child was still small, in the hope that the child would have a turn at Hajj when he was still young.

" The waiting period for Hajj is really very long now. So, I've opened a savings account from now on ," wrote Arifah.

Furthermore, Arifah explained that opening a hajj savings does not necessarily mean you will get a portion of the hajj. However, the Hajj portion can only be obtained if the child is 12 years old. It is known that the money deposited for Hajj savings can be a minimum of IDR 200 thousand.

" I haven't taken the (hajj) portion yet, right? Because the age for taking the portion can only be 12 years old. So hopefully by the age of 12 you will have collected the money ," wrote Arifah.

In the video, it is shown that Arifah is very painstaking in accompanying her child in filling out the various documents needed to open a Hajj savings account. He also asked his children to fill in the registration forms themselves.

Seeing this video, many netizens flooded this video with various comments. Some people feel regretful and don't think about why they didn't use their THR money to save it in their Hajj savings when they were little.

" People's fortunes are different. For mothers whose children's THR is used for daily needs, don't be discouraged ," wrote the account @inara.putri3.

" House needs first, education funds first, then open a Hajj savings account. In the name of Allah, one by one, we will be established first ," said the account @praptiwisata97.

" We are the same as brothers... my child is already 1 year old and has not made any savings from his THR... God willing, next year he will be old enough to register for the Hajj... bismillah he can use his savings... his mother doesn't have a big number. ," @yuyun333

" I'm so old now, why didn't I think about saving for Hajj in the first place? Even though I had a lot of THR money when I was little, I liked to get a lot, hahaha ," wrote the account @kuahkuahkuah14.
