The adorable rabbit from Beatrix Potters realm, including his little blue cardigan, will be the first literary character to appear on the British 50 pence coin.
According to Mashable, this adorable Peter Rabbit coin was made to mark the 150th anniversary of Potter's birth, and will be the first special edition coin out of a four-piece set commemorating the children storybook author.

Designer Emma Noble, the creative mind behind the new coin created by the Royal Mint said that she wanted to put Beatrix Potter's illustrations at the forefront of her design. They are, she added, lovely images and the characters are very well known.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit was frist published by children's publisher Frederick Warne & Co, and featured in five more books by Potter.
With only 15000 available, the limited-edition uncirculated coins will cost you between 10 and 55. So, if you are a childhood-yearning adult who wants to keep anything that reminds you of those happy golden years, just go and get em!
