Brilio.net - As part of life, humans certainly have to work to meet all their needs, from clothing, shelter, to food. Moreover, nowadays, finding work is quite difficult, you know. Even so, quite a few people decide to resign from their jobs even though they already have a fixed salary.
Not a few are also determined to resign from their jobs as employees to start their own business. There are also those who actually choose to return to their hometowns to pursue agriculture, aka becoming farmers. Of course, not everyone dares to take this decision.
The reason is that a thorough plan is needed to maintain personal economic stability. However, this is different from a man who shares his career journey via the TikTok account @pertanianmodernn. Through this upload, the man who had worked as an employee for five years decided to resign.
He then decided to become a farmer. He doesn't need to spend a lot of capital, he admits that the capital to become a farmer is quite cheap. To plant tomatoes and chilies, he used capital of 1.2 million with results of 26.5 million in eight months .

" Resigned after working for 5 years just wanted to farm. This is my story, capital of 1.2 million, operational capital of 1 million in 8 months resulted in 26.5 million ," said @pertanianmodernn, quoted by brilio.net on Thursday (18/4).
When he started farming , he admitted that he chose to be an economical farmer. He uses his mother's farming land. For basic fertilizer, he only uses 6 sacks for 500 meters of land.
" Basic fertilizer is just 6 sacks of chicken manure for 500 m, isn't that enough? Too economical? Yes, indeed yes. He's also a beginner. Thank God, my mother helped me, even though the use is different, I want to be a farmer who isn't too tired, with little capital and lots of harvests ," he explained.
To become a farmer who is not too tired, he uses simple technology but gets maximum results. It uses drip irrigation with a hose, so you don't need to water it one by one to add pesticides and water.
" This is what I mean by farmers who are not too tired, use drip irrigation so they don't have to leak one by one. Just open the tap, wait 6 minutes per bed while playing on their cellphone, hehe, " he said.

Not without obstacles. He once experienced a plant that failed to grow because his tomatoes were being eaten by pests. At that time, the tomato harvest period was 2.5-3 months. After 20 days, he added chili plants.
" We plant tomatoes first, 2.5 - 3 months to harvest. After 20 days we add chilies, " he said.
Unfortunately, at that time the market price for chilies was only IDR 1,000 per kilogram, down from IDR 5,000 per kilogram. With a total harvest weighing almost 2.5 tons, he only got IDR 6.2 million, you know. However, he is not worried because he still has chili plants which have a high selling price.
" But the market price went from 5000/kg to 1000/kg. But I still harvest 300 kg every time I harvest. Every 3 days but it doesn't matter if the market price goes up and down. We try to sell it to the market. The total harvest weighs 2440 kg or almost "2.5 tons but the money is 6.2 million. But still, thank God, we are still given sustenance from Allah, " he said.

Apart from that, he has also named cayenne and curly chilies which are certainly not free from obstacles. The reason is, it only produces 3-4 cayenne peppers per tree. Meanwhile, you can get 8 curly chilies per stem. Despite the disaster, he managed to harvest 404 kilograms of chilies. Apart from that, the average selling price at that time was quite good, namely IDR 53 thousand per kilo. So he earned IDR 20.2 million.
" Thank God, even though we were hit by a storm, the chili leaves ran out, but we still got 404 kg of chilies from an average price of 25 thousand-80 thousand, the average price was 53 thousand, the money earned was 20.2 million, " he added.

During eight months of farming, the account owner revealed that his income was around IDR 3 million per month. From these eight months, he earned a net income of IDR 24 million on a land plot of only 500 square meters. According to him, the results were higher than Boyolali's UMR.
" Here are the results from tomatoes and chilies. 24 million net for 8 months, that's about that much per month. I thought farmers were trivial, but it turns out Boyolali's UMR is even lower, " he stressed.
With a promising income, it seems like he has no regrets about his decision to resign from his job. This story inspired many netizens. Not a few want to try to start a business as farmers. He also received appreciation from netizens.
" Wow, this could be my next business idea, thanks for the motivation sis, " said @abcdee92.
" As long as you have land, capital and are willing to try and learn, you can be successful as a farmer ," said @vhinatampubolon.
" The only problem in our agriculture is fertilizer and equal distribution of harvests through middlemen, this is what makes our agriculture not what it used to be, in the past there were middlemen but only a few, " said @bimadth.
" I want to be a chili farmer, wow, but I don't know where to start.. because my place costs 100 thousand for 1 kg of chilies, 10 thousand for making drum sauce only takes 1 day and a half.. So I just want to be the boss ," said @aminiihh.
" Thank God, there are many young people who become farmers. Sarah often YouTubes Thai farmers, imitates their method, hopefully the results will be abundant. Come on, support me, my brother is also a farmer, every harvest he gets hundreds of millions, land for rent ," said @besti_kw.
