The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings. In this month, all practices will be doubled in reward. God always forgives the sins of those who repent.
One of the recommended practices is reading the Qur'an. In order to better understand the meaning of the verses in the Qur'an, you can also find information in books of interpretation.
In addition to getting closer to God, reading the Qur'an also has various advantages, among others:
- Each letter will get one good and multiplied.
As explained in the hadith narrated by Ibn Mas'ud, that the Messenger of God said, "Whoever reads one letter of the Book of God (the Qur'an), he will get one good deed. One good deed will be multiplied into ten for example. I do not say alif lam mim one letter. But alif is one letter, lam is one letter, and mim is one letter."
- Angels with people who read the Qur'an.
The Prophet SAW said, "A person who reads the Qur'an fluently will be with the messenger angel who begins to serve again, while a person who reads the Qur'an with stuttering and difficulty, then he will get two rewards." (HR Muslim)
- The form of love for God and His Messenger.
Ibn Mas'ud said, "Whoever wants to be loved by Allah and His Messenger, then pay attention: "If he loves the Qur'an, it means he loves Allah and His Messenger." (HR Thabrani)
The Prophet SAW said, "The parable of a believer who reads the Qur'an is like a utrujjah fruit; its aroma is fragrant and it tastes good. A believer who does not read the Qur'an is like a date; it has no fragrance, but it tastes sweet. A hypocrite who reads the Qur'an is like a raihaanah plant (basil); the aroma is fragrant but the taste is bitter, whereas the hypocrite who does not read the Qur'an is like a hanzalah plant; it has no fragrance and the taste is bitter." (HR Bukhari and Muslim)
- Raised in rank by Allah SWT.
The Prophet SAW said, "Indeed, Allah raises a nation because of this Qur'an and lowers it also because of it." (HR Muslim)

- Carrying out God's orders.
This Zikr command is found in several letters, among which is Surat Al Araf verse 205 which means: "O you who believe, remember (by mentioning) the name of Allah with as much zikr as possible."
- People who don't remember are like living with the dead.
"The parable of the person who remembers his Lord and the person who does not remember his Lord is like the living and the dead." (HR. al-Bukhari)
