Brilio.net - Account X (Twitter) @zakiberkata recently caused a stir after sharing a portrait of Java Island that looked red. In the upload of the account named Georitmus, it shows this phenomenon occurring in early September 2024. The upload of this portrait then went viral on social media.

In the image photo, there are several cities that appear dark red, such as Jakarta, Tangerang, Madiun, and Mojokerto. The dark red color indicates that the temperature in the city reaches 30-33 degrees Celsius. While in the Semarang area it ranges from 30 to 34 degrees Celsius.

The above phenomenon was then responded to by the Head of the Ahmad Yani Semarang Meteorological Station, Yoga Sambodo. He explained that this natural phenomenon will occur in late August to early September 2024.

According to the explanation of BMKG, the cause of the red image of Java Island is because it is influenced by the dry season. This condition causes the sun's radiation rays to enter the earth's surface without cloud protection.

Therefore, the above conditions cause the temperature to increase. Especially during the day, when the weather feels hotter. Not only that, the hot temperature in Java is also caused by the apparent position of the sun moving from the northern hemisphere and approaching the equator.

"The apparent orbit of the Sun is slowly getting closer to the zenith. On September 22, 2024, it will be directly above the equator and then will tilt towards the Southern Hemisphere," explained the owner of the @zakiberkata account as quoted by brilio.net , Wednesday (4/9).

Based on additional explanation, the phenomenon also affects the temperature in mountainous areas. According to Georitmus, mountainous areas will be colder if there is a peak of dry season.

Meanwhile, according to the BMKG website, Wednesday (4/9) in September rainfall is predicted to be low to medium. This is divided into three waves.

These three waves equally cover parts of Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, parts of West Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung. Most of Java, Bali, NTB, NTT, parts of West Kalimantan, and parts of Central Kalimantan. Parts of South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, most of Sulawesi Island, North Maluku, parts of Maluku, parts of Papua, Papua Mountains and South Papua.
