Brilio.net - Thousands of people took to the streets to hold a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building on Thursday (22/8). This action was held in response to the Working Committee meeting held by the DPR RI Legislation Body (Baleg) regarding the Revision of the Regional Head Election Law (UU Pilkada). Moreover, the DPR RI is said to be going to annul the Constitutional Court decision number 60 of 2024.
The public said that this was part of an action to rob democracy. Therefore, the public flocked to hold a demonstration. Usually, this moment is also an opportunity for street vendors to sell various types of drinks and snacks.
But not with this street vendor. Instead of selling, he gave his merchandise for free to the demonstrators. The moment was uploaded by Muhammad Guntur Romli, a cadre of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) on his personal Instagram @gunromli.

In the video, the street vendor is seen carrying his wares. He is seen selling various types of food such as nuts, crackers, and other snacks. However, in the middle of the crowd, he did not intend to sell the food.

While shouting "free... free" he called the demonstrators around him. Hearing the word free, the demonstrators immediately came to take the food that was distributed. However, no one seemed to be fighting over it, everyone took the food in an orderly manner.
"This street vendor distributed his food to the protesters. May your fortune increase, Sir," said Guntur Romli in the caption, as reported by brilio.net from the Instagram account @gunromli on Thursday (22/8).

This moment then went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Many saluted the kindness of the street vendor. Some were even touched and tried to find out who he was to provide assistance.
