Brilio.net/en - On June 16th, Microsoft set up a partnership with a start-up specialised in services to marijuana producers, Kind Financial. It this way opened the door to other potential partnerships between all different types of companies, and especially those very specialized ones that still have difficulties to getting started on the right foot.
Kind Financial propose to its client a special kind of software that allows the client to follow the growth of the sales of cannabis seeds. Thanks to this software, the authorities of the states that allow the sale of cannabis for therapeutic use will be able to follow the sale in order to make sure that they remain in a legal framework.

According to the founder of Green Wave Advisors, a company specialised in the analysis of data regarding the cannabis sector, the fact that a giant such as Microsoft took the step to set up such a partnership is the proof that society is evolving, and accepting more and more the marijuana-related business.
As a reminder, sale and consumption of marijuana is still illegal in half of the American states and this explains why most companies arent ready yet to be fully involved in that kind of businesses. Even if peoples mentalities have changed a lot over the last decades, the corporate image could still suffer a bad reputation and nowadays, its their image companies want to sell their clients before anything.
It shouldnt take long though before others follow the lead of Microsoft and start investing and financing it. The industry of cannabis represents a market of billions of dollars that cannot be ignored too long by businessmen. On top of that, on a moral point of view, the countries where cannabis is legalized are on average the ones where the drug consumption is the best regulated (not legally, humanly). It is known that once somethings forbidden it becomes more interesting, but once its legal it loses it apple.
