A man named Kaesang was reported to Bekasi Police for spreading hate speech through a video posted in social media, Tuesday.

National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian confirmed the report, however he was unable to verify whether the person being reportedis the youngest son of President Joko Widodo, Kaesang Pangarep, because no last name was attached on the report filed by Muhammad Hidayat.

"It's written Kaesang in the report, without mentioning who [which Kaesang]," said Tito at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, Wednesday.

To figure out who the personis, Tito ensured that the police would immediately question the witness for further investigation.

"We'll perform an investigation. The [Jakarta] Police Chief will be in charge. We'll invite some expert witnesses and soon decide [the case]," Tito continued.

In the report, Kaesang was accused of defaming Islam through the video he uploaded on YouTube. According to Muhammad Hidayat, the videoalso contained hate speech and statements that may incite interracial and inter-religion conflict.

Im not defending Ahok, but I need to question why kids can scream such things? Its a pity to see young kids being taught to spread hatred like that. Dasar ndeso! he said.

How could you teach them to intimidate others. They are the countrys future. Dont let us lose the best generation that can build the country. To build a better Indonesia, we all need to work together, not fight each other, or name others infidels. What more? Oh, there were even people who didnt even want to give prayers to the deceased because the latter has different choice of leader (during the Jakarta election). Dasar ndeso!

Dasar ndeso could be loosely translated as you uncivilized people.

Do you think Kaesang's statement is a defamation or hate speech? Because most people would think that it is just a social critic. But things can happen. After all, this is a country that sent someone to jail for saying a sentence people claimed to defame a particular religion. So, who knows?
