Brilio.net - A foreigner from Denmark's name has emerged and received public attention. The reason is that he has succeeded in repairing a bridge located in Samabahari Village, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. However, it seems that this action actually made the local village head angry.
A tourist named Kristian Boskov Hansen is known to have been traveling in Wakatobi for seven days. However, he accidentally saw a bridge that looked worrying. The reason is, the bridge is also dangerous for anyone who crosses it, especially children because it looks fragile .
"So the problem is that the bridges between these small houses are in very bad condition, and we also saw the mosque yesterday which they tried to expand but stopped because they didn't have enough funds," he said in a video on Kristian Hansen's YouTube channel.

Seeing this situation, Hansen was moved to help. He immediately raised donations through the Kitabisa platform to repair the bridge. It is known that the wooden bridge has been standing for 10 years.
"Their bridge is more than 10 years old. Sometimes, children and elderly people fall and get injured," said Hansen.

Thankfully, from this fundraising, Hansen managed to raise IDR 75 million in less than one day. He immediately used the money to buy some wood from a supplier in the village. Residents work together to repair the bridge so that it looks more passable.
However, Hansen's actions actually received a negative response from the local village head (Kades). The village head, Gamis, admitted that he was disappointed because Hansen had taken action without coordination. They admitted that the foreigner had done something that the village government did not know about.

"What this YouTuber did was very, very disappointing. Because without our knowledge from the village government, he did something we didn't know about," said Gamis in the video, reported by brilio.net from the Instagram account @cepat.beriita on Monday (1/7) .
Apart from that, Gamis also explained that the bridge repaired by Hansen was only located in one of the hamlets of Samabahari Village. According to him, Hansen did not repair the bridge as a whole, but only replaced the planks at the top of the bridge.
"What he replaced yesterday was not just the entire thing, but only one board that was replaced," continued Gamis.

He also emphasized that the bridge was actually still suitable for use, unlike what Hansen said. Gamis even emphasized that one year to two years from now the bridge will still be considered strong. Moreover, it is not used for public roads. Only for a few homestay guests who happened to pass by.
"It's not a public bridge or a bridge that many people pass by. Because it's just a bridge connecting the homestay to the owner's house. Because yesterday's YouTuber stayed at the homestay," he concluded.
