Google Station or Google's public Wi-Fi hotspot is confirmed to expand its free connectivity service to Indonesia. The American internet giant in partnership with service providers CBN and FiberStar promised to begin the program this year.

"So, the first Google Station, will be launched soon around Jakarta, and then coming soon to Surabaya, Denpasar, Bandung and many other cities," said Google Indonesia Managing Director Tony Keusgen in Google For Indonesia, Jakarta, Thursday.

Tony explained that even with so many barriers for Indonesian to get a good connection to the internet, Google station guarantees a faster, simpler and more reliable connection than most public Wi-Fi. Users could later experience a high-speed internet service to easily stream HD videos and access basic services without a long wait.

Google Station made its debut in India as the company started rolling out public Wi-Fi hotspots at India railway stations in early 2016, before finally include shopping malls, bus stops, cafes and more at the end of September.

Tony claimed Google's service is in over 200 stations in India where it enables millions people to surf the internet each day while allowing 15,000 to go online for the first time.
