To strengthen its existence in Indonesia, a new concept outlet "Uncommon Common" has now been opened. This concept is implemented for the first time in Indonesia at New Balance Grand Indonesia, 3rd Floor, Jakarta.

Martina Harianda Mutis, General Manager of Brand Marketing Sports MAP Active, said that the Uncommon Common concept is one way to provide a new experience to customers.

"We are changing the mindset where previously buying shoes was only about transactions. Now it is more than that, finding the most fitting shoes becomes a personal experience in expressing one's own style and character." He also revealed that this outlet is more focused on interacting with customers. This is to provide space for each customer to find their authentic character and style, so that in the end they can inspire each other.

Although in recent years many outlets have prioritized the concept of independent shopping, such as online shopping. However, based on research from Retail Touch Points, 47%* found that the concept of an outlet with a different shopping experience that provides more opportunities for interaction with customers is more in demand.

This is partly due to changes in lifestyle adaptation. Retail activists also see that concepts that prioritize human interaction are also the main choice for customers.

For your information, the store with the Uncommon Common concept was first introduced at the New Balance London Stratford store, then followed by the New Balance store in Boston which opened in 2023. New Balance in Grand Indonesia which carries a similar concept has a white interior design with wooden ornament accents, creating a modern and comfortable atmosphere.
