Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono , or familiarly called Ibas, expressed his amazement at the decorations prepared for the inauguration of the President and Vice President-elect, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This work involved Didit Prabowo , who is known for his artistic touch.
"When I first saw it, I immediately thought, 'wow, this is something new and interesting'. We all know that green elements are very important, because they reflect our concern for the environment," said Ibas while at the Nusantara III Building of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Jakarta, on Sunday (20/10).
According to Ibas, the decoration dominated by tree nuances and decorated with yellow coconut leaves gives a cool and peaceful impression. Hopefully, this atmosphere can also be created during the inauguration of Prabowo and Gibran.
"This collaboration is very important for the MPR RI and also for the inauguration of the elected President and Vice President," he added.
The inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka is scheduled to take place today, Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the DPR MPR RI Building, Jakarta. In addition to the dress rehearsal, the atmosphere was also transformed with charming yellow coconut leaves decorations.
According to Liputan6.com's monitoring, yellow coconut leaves were placed on each side of the stairs leading to the Kura-Kura Building, with a warning of a sterile area as part of the security protocol.
Tight security has been implemented since morning. At 06.00 WIB, many invited guests have arrived with special identification for the inauguration event.
The TNI and Polri have also prepared tight security. The Bomb Disposal Team (Jibom) and sniffer dogs (K9) were deployed as security preparation measures.
"The sterilization activities by Jibom and K-9 will be carried out under the control of Paspampres in accordance with the Pamwaskita Procedures," explained the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Sterilization of the inauguration location will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2024, before the event starts at 10:00 WIB. A total of 224 Polri personnel will assist Paspampres to maintain security in ring 1, while securing ring 2 will be the responsibility of the Polri.
"Ring 1 is guarded by Paspampres, while we are responsible for ring 2, the outer part," added Ade Ary.
To support the security of the inauguration, the National Police deployed 15,000 personnel, while the TNI sent 100,000 personnel. In addition, the Police have also prepared traffic arrangements around the DPR Building during the event.
