Brilio.net - A wave of public enthusiasm for the registration of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) has again hit the country. This phenomenon has become a hot topic of conversation in various circles, especially on social media.

The huge interest in the civil servant profession is clearly illustrated by the overwhelming number of applicants. As of Wednesday (5/9), 2,718,663 people have registered to take part in the CPNS selection.

The high public interest is inseparable from the general view that civil servant status is still considered a guarantee of a bright future. Many parents hope that their children can become civil servants, even though the child has achieved success in other fields.

One real example of this phenomenon was experienced by the owner of the TikTok account @timur.kriting. This man shared his rather surprising experience regarding his parents' expectations.

He has achieved brilliant academic achievements during his education. He successfully graduated on time from the petroleum engineering department with cum laude predicate.

" How do I deal with my parents' expectations? Studying petroleum engineering (v), graduating on time in 4 years (v), cum laude (v) ," he wrote in a TikTok upload, quoted by brilio.net on Tuesday (10/9).

@timur.kriting's success continued into the world of work. He managed to get a position as an engineer at a leading oil company. @timur.kriting's career achievements are very promising. He has even received a salary with a three-digit nominal, indicating his fairly high position in the company.

"Living the best life working as an engineer in a leading service company (v)," he added.

However, it turns out that all these achievements are not enough to meet the expectations of his parents. @timur.kriting got a surprise when his parents sent him the CPNS registration link.

Apparently, his parents expect him to register for CPNS. Even though his current job is quite successful.

" I thought it was enough... It turns out that my parents' hopes are still to be a civil servant ," he said.

@timur.kriting's outpouring of heart reflects the dilemma faced by many young Indonesians. They must balance personal aspirations and parental expectations, especially regarding a career as a civil servant which is still considered a guarantee of a stable life.

Netizens also commented on @timur.kriting's experience which was also similar to theirs. Apparently, for most parents, civil servants are the ideal job for them.

" Aaaa, that's great, I'm living a comfortable life as a lawyer, my work is fun, isn't it every day, when there's a trial, meeting with clients and just doing business, I only work 3-4x a week, but I only get to Dzhur but my income is already 2x ," said @lisirinbrac.

" My parents also forced me to become a civil servant, but now it's the right choice, because I can help develop the region ," said @jmarioln94.

" Working as an engineer does have a big salary. But civil servants are still a dream and are for people who want to work in a relaxed manner and have lots of free time with their family, " said @kucing12bebek.

" Oh my God, why is the standard for all parents that 'children must be civil servants' ," said @choo00orneliaaa.

" My father's message before he died was to become a civil servant, who really suggested that becoming a civil servant be the highest goal ," commented @secretlifeofnadja.
