Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde has created a mini-tower that sucks carbon monoxide straight out of the air and in turn creates some fancy bling. The structure operates pretty much like a home air-purifier.

Using ion technology, the 23-foot tower purifies the air by taking out sooty particles. The particles are composed of 42% carbon, which can be converted into none other than the worlds most desired jewel - diamonds. Under enough pressure, pollution sucked out of the air can be converted into the rocks, at least according to Roosegaarde.

Roosegaarde was inspired after spending some time in notoriously polluted Beijing, and became interested in pollution, or at least how to get rid of it.
According to Roosegaarde, the smog-sucking machine can clean an area of 1,000 cubic meters, which is roughly the length of 11 football fields. And, exhale. Now Roosegaarde and his team are raising funds on Kickstarter to create one to be installed in a park in Rotterdam, the Netherlands by September.
