In tropical countries like Indonesia, air conditioners, such as fans and ACs, are electronic items that are really needed. Its main function is to cool the room and body when the weather is hot. Even though the main function is the same, these two items have different ways of working.
In general, fans have propellers that will produce wind around the room. On the other hand, the way an AC works is similar to how a refrigerator works, namely cooling the air that is absorbed through a mixture of physical and chemical processes, then distributing it back out. Compared to a fan, the air produced from an AC tends to be cooler and cooler. Therefore, the price of an AC is also much higher than a fan.
Unfortunately, not all houses can be installed with AC due to inadequate electrical systems or building structures. As a result, if the weather is very hot, many people cannot simply enjoy the cold air. Because even if you have a fan, sometimes the wind produced is actually hot and makes you stifling.
So, to overcome this, a YouTube user Maju Creative once shared a simple trick to change the fan to make it as cold as when using AC. Through one of the uploaded videos, he admitted that he only relied on kitchen waste, you know.
As reported by BrilioFood on Tuesday (2/7), the kitchen waste in question is plastic bottles. In the video, he admits to using two used plastic bottles he had at home. So, apart from plastic bottles , other tools needed are used hoses, glue, solder and a cutter knife.

How to assemble the tool is quite easy. The first thing to do is punch holes in both bottle caps. You can use soldering iron or a cutter knife. Make sure the size of the hole is the same as the width of the hose.

Next, insert both ends of the hose into the bottle cap. Then attach it with glue. If so, take a plastic bottle, then cut the bottom. After that, make enough holes in the bottle using solder. "This is used as an ice cube holder," said YouTube user Maju Creative.

Before use, the YouTube user makes ice cubes first. Instead of ordinary ice cubes, he uses a mixture of water and fragrant fabric softener. This is so that the ice cubes can produce a fragrant aroma, so that when you put it in the bottle the aroma will be smelled throughout the room.

The next step, place this bottle upside down at the back of the fan. To prevent it from falling, secure the bottle using cable ties or rope. After that, put the cap on the bottle you bought earlier. Meanwhile, another bottle cap is attached to another used bottle (which is still intact). How to use it, simply crush the ice cubes that you made earlier. After that, transfer the ice cubes into a plastic bottle that has been perforated. If so, the fan can be used as usual. "And the great thing is, this is not only an air conditioner, but also an air freshener. It's fresh and fragrant," he explained further.
