Outdoor activities all day often cause excessive sweating , especially in the neck area. This is certainly very natural, but you need to know that this sweat leaves stains on the collar of the shirt. Yellow stains that appear due to sweat can make the collar of the shirt look dirty and unsightly, even though the shirt has just been washed . This problem not only interferes with appearance, but can also damage clothes.

Stubborn sweat stains on shirt collars are caused by a combination of sweat and the chemicals in deodorant that adhere to the fabric fibers. When sweat mixes with the body's natural salts and oils, and mixes with deodorant residue, it forms stains that are difficult to remove. Washing with regular detergent is often not enough to remove these stains, so special care is needed to deal with them.

To remove stubborn sweat stains on the collar of a shirt, several methods can be tried. One method that is often done is to soak the shirt in bleach. Bleach can indeed remove any stubborn stains, but the other effect is that it can actually make the color of the shirt fade.

To be safer, you can use the method used by Instagram user @rumah_shahia to remove sweat stains on shirt collars. Instead of using bleach, this Instagram user relies on simple ingredients found in the kitchen. Well, these kitchen ingredients tend to be safe because they don't fade the color of the clothes.

As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @rumah_shahia on Wednesday (2/10), the kitchen ingredients in question are baking soda and vinegar. Well, so that these two ingredients can optimally remove stains, you also need to prepare other cleaning ingredients, namely bar soap.

The method is, simply rinse the clothes with water. Then rub the collar with bar soap directly. After that, sprinkle baking soda on the stained collar. If so, pour vinegar on the part.

Next, scrub the collar of the shirt using an old toothbrush. Repeat this process until the stain is completely gone. Then rinse the shirt with running water until it is clean and there is no soap or cleaner left.

Well, if it's done, hang the clothes to dry. Usually, clothes that are already dry will look cleaner and the difference will be visible. When dry, the sweat stains are completely gone and the color of the clothes does not fade.
