Brilio.net - Mukena is one of the equipment commonly used for prayer. This tool is used to cover the private parts from head to toe. Because they are worn almost every day, mukenas are susceptible to getting dirty. This dirt usually comes from the remaining powder used on the face.

Apart from that, damp mukena conditions can also make the area around the head of the mukena turn yellow. If you don't wash it immediately, over time the stain can become a stubborn stain. The stain will be difficult to remove even if you brush it with soap.

Finally, many people choose to soak their mukenas for hours to remove stubborn stains. However, instead of the stain fading, the mukena actually smells musty because it has been soaked for too long.

How to wash yellowed mukena.

Apart from soaking it overnight, it turns out there are other tricks you can try to make your mukena shine again, you know. This trick was shared by YouTube user Bunda Ipi. In one of his uploads, he admitted that he did not soak his mukena overnight and only relied on a few simple ingredients, including kitchen ingredients.

Reported by BrilioFood from Bunda Ipi's YouTube, the ingredients used were citrus, detergent and bleach. Meanwhile, the kitchen ingredient added is dish washing soap.

"I use bleach for colored clothes because my mukena is a bit beige," he said.

To make it, prepare a container. Then pour in 2 packets of colored clothes bleach. Also add citrus, dish soap and enough warm water. Then stir the cleaning fluid mixture until evenly mixed.

If so, dip your toothbrush into a container containing cleaning fluid and immediately apply it to the mucena which is covered in yellow stains.

"I tapped the yellow part first, then waited a few minutes before brushing it," he explained.

After leaving it for a while, immediately rub the mukena. After rubbing, you can see the yellow stains on the mukena slowly starting to fade.

Next, prepare a bucket to soak the mukena. Then add enough hot water. Add citrus, detergent and bleach for colored clothes. Stir using an old toothbrush to mix evenly. Then put the mukena into the bucket.

"After 30 minutes, then check it or wait for the water to cool," he added.

After leaving it for 30 minutes, wash the mukena with bar soap. Because it had been soaked, the yellow stains on the mukena immediately faded. If so, rinse the mukena with running water until it is completely clean.

"Just check it, if there are stubborn stains I give it a bar of soap. I don't need to put it in the washing machine because it's already clean," he said further.

After that, dry the mukena in the washing machine and then dry it in the sun until it is completely dry. The result is that the mukena looks bright and clean again, like new.

Since it was uploaded in March 2023, the video uploaded by YouTube user Bunda Ipi has been watched 520 times. Many netizens are also enthusiastic about trying this trick.
