Brilio.net - A toilet that is used continuously will usually develop various kinds of stains, including crust. Usually crust in the toilet appears due to a buildup of minerals from the water used. Over time, these minerals will thicken if not cleaned immediately.
Well, the presence of limescale in the toilet doesn't just disrupt the overall appearance of the bathroom. Basically, black crust in the toilet can cause health problems. Not without reason, the crust in the toilet contains a lot of bacteria which can spread to all other parts of the bathroom.
To overcome this problem, some people usually use special materials. For example, by mixing a cleaning agent made from citrus and porcelain cleaning fluid. Apart from that, there are also those who use a mixture of hot water so that the crust can really disappear.
Even though you know what? Instead of having to bother mixing these special ingredients, there is actually one ingredient that can be very effective in removing scale. This material was explained further by the owner of the TikTok account @suryapertiwi.id through one of the uploaded videos.

Reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @suryapertiwi.id on Thursday (18/7), the material used to clean the toilet scale comes from the kitchen, namely dishwashing soap. Well, this dishwashing soap contains a number of substances that can remove stubborn stains, including limescale on the toilet.
Well, how to use it is quite easy. First of all, prepare a sponge or brush. Then pour enough dish soap onto the surface of the sponge. If so, wet it a little and knead it to make foam.

Next, rub this sponge on the crusty part of the toilet. In the video, TikTok user @suryapertiwi.id rubs it on the black crusty outside of the toilet seat. If the crust is thick, you can use a coarser brush such as wire wool.

So, if you feel the crust has faded, rinse immediately using running water. That way, the toilet will look cleaner and shinier because it is free from black crust. How about it, it's quite easy and effective, right?
Basically, dishwashing soap contains surfactant active ingredients which work to reduce the surface tension of water and allow the soap to penetrate and dissolve dirt. This ability is also effective in dissolving organic residue and dirt that accumulates on the surface of the toilet, which is often the cause of black crust.
In addition, dish soap also contains strong chemicals, such as sodium lauryl sulfate, which is very effective in removing various types of dirt. These chemicals can break down the bond between limescale and the toilet surface, making it easier to brush and clean. On the other hand, dishwashing soap usually has a fairly high pH which can help dissolve the minerals that make up scale.
