Brilio.net - Bedcovers are often used as sleeping equipment that many people use. The thick and soft material not only helps warm the body, but also makes sleeping feel more comfortable. So, because it is used almost every night, of course you want the bedcover to always be clean. Cleaning the bed cover regularly is one of the keys.

Bedcovers that are cleaned regularly can make them last longer. So if it is rarely washed or left just like that, the bedcover can become dirty or even smelly. This often happens to bedcovers that have been used for a very long time.

However, cleaning old bedcovers is often a challenge for many people. The dirty appearance due to thick dust and stubborn stains makes the bedcover even more difficult to clean. Not to mention if there is a strong smell, of course cleaning it will be even more troublesome.

So, so that dirty stains and odors on bed covers can be removed, a number of people generally wash them with detergent mixed with baking soda. However, if you don't have a stock of baking soda at home, you can use other kitchen ingredients such as those used by YouTube user EK TV CHANEL.

As reported by BrilioFood from one of the videos uploaded on Friday (2/2), he admitted to using dish soap when washing the bedcover. So, this dishwashing soap is then mixed with other ingredients, such as bleach and detergent. The mixture of these three ingredients is very effective in removing stubborn stains and odors on bed covers.

"So that it can be cleaned quickly. Because if you just use detergent it won't clean quickly, it will take a long time to clean, especially if you wash it directly using a washing machine. So, with this material, I will make the (bedcover) look new again," explained YouTube EK TV CHANEL.

To make the process clearer, prepare a large bucket filled with water. Then add 10 caps of bleach (adjust to the size of the bed cover). After that, add quite a lot of dish soap. Only then pour 1 capful of liquid detergent.

Next, put in the dirty and dirty bedcover. Press down so that the detergent is completely soaked. To be safer, you can use gloves when you want to soak the bedcover. Then, if all parts have been submerged, let it sit for 20 minutes.

After letting it sit, the soaking water will be very cloudy. So, throw away this soaking water. So, if there are still stubborn dull stains, pour a little bleach and wipe or scrub the surface gently with a brush. If so, put the bedcover back into the bucket filled with water and detergent.

"You need a little more detergent so that when it's dry it doesn't smell like bleach," said YouTube EK TV CHANEL.

After soaking it in detergent, press it a little. Then rinse thoroughly with running water. To make it easier, you can rinse it in the washing machine. At the end of the rinse, add fragrance and a splash of vinegar (optional). Finally, dry the bedcover until dry.

Many other YouTube users then gave positive responses in the comments column. Some people even ask about the use of this material when used for colored bed covers.

"What if the bed cover is not white, what do you use to remove the dirt?
If you keep using bleach, won't the bed cover fade, Sir?" asked the YouTube account @hestinurmawati2920.

"Depending on the material, as long as the color is bright, you can still use it. If you're afraid of it fading, you can try making bleach with water, then put a drop on the corner to see if it changes, if it's dry, if it fades, don't continue, you can use sodium percarbonate, which is safer for color," explained EK's YouTube account. CHANEL TV.

"Oops, there are 2 bcs that haven't been washed yet... actually the 1st one is done but the cleanliness isn't optimal... but you have to use Bayclin to... thx for the tip," said YouTube @kusmiyatiwulandari1732.
