Tricks to fix a loose gas regulator to make it tight again with 1 tool, without rubber bands

One of the problems that often occurs is the gas flow being obstructed due to a loose regulator. Brilio.net

Brilio.net - Gas cylinders have become the main source of fuel for home stoves. Its practicality and efficiency make it a favorite choice for everyday cooking. However, like other equipment, the use of gas cylinders is not free from various problems. One of the problems that often occurs is the flow of gas that is blocked due to a loose regulator.

When the gas regulator is loose, the flow of gas from the cylinder to the stove becomes obstructed. This problem not only interferes with cooking activities, but also has the potential to cause danger if not addressed immediately. An improperly installed regulator can cause a gas leak, which is very dangerous because LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is flammable. Gas leaks can result in explosions or fires that endanger the safety of the occupants of the house.

To overcome this problem, it is important to check the regulator installation regularly and ensure that the rubber seal on the regulator is in good condition. However, if the gas still does not flow, a simple trick from TikTok user @trileztarii, quoted by BrilioFood on Wednesday (11/12) can be tried. In one of the videos he uploaded, he showed how to use a simple tool to solve the problem.

As reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @trileztarii on Friday (11/22), the tool in question is tissue. To be more precise, he only uses a little bit of dry tissue that has been torn. After that, squeeze it until it forms a small ball.

Next, attach the tissue ball to the regulator hole that will be connected to the gas cylinder. Then, attach the regulator to the gas cylinder as usual. A moment later, the speedometer on the regulator will move immediately. This means that the gas has flowed from the cylinder to the stove.

But please note that this can apply if the regulator is still functioning normally. So in this case, the regulator becomes loose when installed on the gas cylinder because the valve in the middle of the hole is too short. As a result, the regulator cannot reach that part, so the gas does not flow.

Well, then the embedded tissue helps to connect the two parts. As a result, the center of the gas cylinder hole can be pressed, which causes the gas to flow smoothly to the regulator. This can be seen from the change in numbers on the moving regulator speedometer.
