Brilio.net - Stainless steel cups are a popular choice in many households due to their durability and ability to maintain the temperature of drinks. However, daily use often leaves its own challenges, one of which is stubborn burnt crust. This crust is usually formed due to excessive heating or leftover drinks that are not immediately cleaned, which over time stick and are difficult to remove.
Burnt crust on stainless steel glasses not only reduces the aesthetics and comfort of use, but can also affect the taste of the drink being served. In addition, the accumulated crust can be a breeding ground for bacteria if not cleaned properly. Therefore, maintaining the cleanliness of stainless steel glasses is very important for the health and quality of the drink to be enjoyed.
To overcome burnt crust, several effective cleaning methods can be used. One of them is the technique used by the Instagram account owner @rorasmommy2912. Through one of her uploaded videos, this Instagram user admitted to only relying on three kitchen ingredients to eradicate chronic burnt crust stains on glasses.
As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @rorasmommy2912 on Tuesday (10/29), the kitchen ingredients in question are baking soda, vinegar, and dish soap. These three ingredients tend to have abrasive properties that can erode even thick crust stains. Therefore, the glass can be shiny again like new.
How to use it, simply mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of dish soap. After that, stir until well mixed. Then apply this liquid to all parts of the glass that are burnt and crusty.
Next, scrub the glass using a brush and wire wool. If the crust is too thick, you can apply the cleaner. Then let it sit for a few minutes so that the crust softens. Then scrub again using a brush.
Well, the cleaned glass can be rinsed immediately. Immediately after being rinsed, the glass will look shinier. You can reuse it to brew hot drinks. The crust that has been removed will make the drink taste better.
