Brilio.net - Regular cleaning of the stove is an important activity that needs to be done to maintain the performance of the cooking tool. Cooking activities can cause various parts of the stove to become dirty and greasy. Stove maintenance after use can help maintain its optimal function.
The burner as a round disc-shaped component on the stove has an important function in the combustion process. This part acts as a meeting place for gas and oxygen to produce fire. The burner material is generally made of high-quality brass which has good durability and is golden yellow in color.
Continuous use of the stove can cause the burner to turn black due to exposure to fire. Lack of attention to burner cleanliness can result in the accumulation of black stains and even rust. Dirty burner conditions can inhibit the release of fire from the burner holes, thereby reducing the effectiveness of stove use.
Various attempts to clean the burner have been made using special materials such as citric acid. The cleaning method using citric acid is done by soaking the burner in hot water that has been mixed with the material. However, the limited availability of citric acid on the market encourages people to look for other cleaning alternatives that are easier to obtain.
One YouTube user with a channel named polyztron once shared a simple tutorial on cleaning his stove burner. Instead of using citric acid or a special liquid, he chose kitchen ingredients as the cleaner. As reported by BrilioFood on Monday (16/12), the kitchen ingredient used was table vinegar.
First, prepare a container. Then pour water into it and mix it with a few drops of vinegar. If so, you can immediately insert the stove burner into the vinegar solution. Make sure all parts of the stove burner are completely submerged.

Once done, let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Basically, vinegar has a high acid content. This acid content can remove black stains and rust on the stove burner.

After soaking in vinegar, immediately lift and scrub the burner using a brush. In the video, he claims to use a clothes brush. But you can use another type of brush that has rough bristles. Because that way, the stain can be removed immediately in one rub.

While scrubbing, you can also dip the burner into the vinegar solution. Repeat this process until the burner is completely clean. Finally, rinse under running water and dry the stove burner before reinstalling it.
"The burner also returned to its original color, when we first bought it," said YouTube polyztron.
