Brilio.net - Indonesia has successfully entered the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The Indonesian national team won 2-0 over the Philippines at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, last Tuesday (11/6). The match was watched by tens of thousands of spectators, including celebrities who didn't want to miss feeling the euphoria of the Garuda National Team's victory.

However, in the moment of victory for the Indonesian National Team, the figure of presenter Desta Mahendra was in the spotlight. Reporting from the upload of the X account @MafiaWasit, Desta was seen coming down from the VVIP seat at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium with Indra Jegel and Rigen.

In the video, the three of them appear together wearing red national team jerseys and look relaxed as they descend the steps of the stands. This moment attracted attention because many people highlighted the chairs where Desta, Indra Jegel and Rigen sat.

The X @MafiaWasit account, which is famous for its content discussing football, revealed that VVIP seats should be given to former national team players who have contributed a lot to the country. The reason is, at that moment several former national team players who were watching the match sat in the regular stands.

" Those sitting there should be National Team Legends, yesterday I saw former National Team players such as Cristian Gonzles, Elie Aiboy etc. sitting in the regular stands ," wrote @MafiaWasit, quoted by brilio.net on Friday (14/6).

In the retweet quote video, Cristian Gonzales is seen standing while watching the Indonesia vs Philippines match. However, instead of sitting in the VVIP seat, he actually sat in the stands. In fact, the former national team player nicknamed El Loco is an Indonesian football legend.

"He was willing not to go home to his country even though someone close to him died in Uruguay in order to fulfill the requirements for staying in the Republic of Indonesia for a minimum of 5 consecutive years or a minimum of 10 non-consecutive years in order to defend the Indonesian National Team. Respect El Loco," wrote @MafiaWasit.

Many X account users then agreed with this opinion. Many regret the organizers' decision to prioritize influencers over former national team players. However, quite a few also provide solutions for arranging the seating portion.

" Why do people on TikTok believe they are paying for tickets, it's like they don't understand Erick tohir ," said @thunderxstorm07.

" It doesn't matter if they want to sit in VVIP, as long as they still provide space for legends and ex-national teams there. Don't you think about it ," said @drakunnn.

" Who cares about former national team players? I prefer exposure from influencers and Instagram celebrities ," quipped @tomorrowbenice.

" It should be like that, bro, but the government pampers influencers more than athletes who have previously contributed to Indonesia ," said @popsiclestt.

" In fact, who hasn't forgotten about Gonzles?...... well, I hope PSSI can be wiser, including when it comes to managing its 'alumni' players, " wrote @cross_urmind.
