The late Gogon left a sad story, the family sold the house for IDR 3.5 billion to pay the comedian's debt to loan sharks

According to Nova, Gogon's son, the magnificent 24-room house was initially sold for IDR 6 billion Ferra Listianti

Brilio.net - The public was shocked by the decision of the family of the famous comedian who died in 2018, Sumargono or known as Gogon, to sell their house for IDR 3.5 billion. Unfortunately, the family has not found a buyer for the luxury house.

According to Nova, Gogon's son, the magnificent 24-room house was initially sold for IDR 6 billion. However, because the family needed money quickly, the price was reduced to IDR 3.5 billion. Nova has even offered the house to several of his father's colleagues, including Cak Lontong.

"Many people offered, but it didn't happen until here. I went to Jakarta to offer a house. Cak Lontong never offered. I went to the studio and didn't come there. Cak Lontong said, 'Sek, I'm not discussing my bojo, sek (for a moment, I discussed it with my wife first) '," said Nova, quoted from YouTube Insertlive, Tuesday (4/6).

Initially, Gogon bought this magnificent house for the property business. Instead of a boarding house, Gogon wants the residence to be transformed into a cheap hotel with a rate of IDR 150 thousand to IDR 200 per night. Unfortunately, during the process of renovating the house into a hotel, Gogon took out a loan from a loan shark.

"A lot of these are for sale, they are involved in debt problems and the debts they owe to loan sharks are scary," explained Nova.

However, the magnificent house in Boyolali, Central Java had to be sold by the Gogon family. It was none other than because Gogon was caught in debt by a loan shark with high interest rates exceeding the bank. Nove said that the loan, which was initially only IDR 1 billion, had ballooned to more than IDR 2 billion.

"The interest was terrifyingly higher than the bank's. The loan was only Rp. 1 billion, now if you think about it, it's more than Rp. 2 billion. We finally had a friendly conversation (with the loan shark), 'When the name is like that, if you want to go to the realm of law, go to law. That's what the name of a loan shark is. "nekak gulu (strangle your neck), trap the flowers. So it's better to just sell (the house),"

Apart from debts from loan sharks, Nova revealed that the cost of maintaining the house was not small. As a result, the family had difficulty saving money and decided to sell the house inherited from Gogon.

"We are thinking about funding the renovations, we want to collect money, we have collected it just for the renovations. Like building a pool, and holding a ketoprak event also requires funds," he continued.
