Brilio.net - Who hasn't experienced a quarter life crisis? This phase can be said to be commonly experienced by humans. Folk-pop genre singer Arash Buana is no exception. He felt lonely, panicked and questioned himself until he realized he could make changes.
Interestingly, the phase actually succeeded in inspiring Arash to work on his latest single entitled "friends". As is known, last February Arash had just released the single "i really do love her
"The song 'friends' is interpreted as friendship, camaraderie, dating or maybe something. I just don't want to feel alone anymore. That's the whole point of this song. Regarding May, I have better understood my phase this year to better understand the environment around me. "And that's why it's like the lyrics 'friends like back in May' because May is the time where I can fully control myself and I can feel good about myself at that moment," said Arash, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Thursday (18/ 4).

In working on this folk-pop nuanced material, Arash trusted Petra Sihombing to be the song producer by starting the process in 2022 when Petra had not yet moved to Bali.
This song, which was once called "trauma", only went through two workshop sessions. Not much of the recording changed from the first demo, including the guitar which had to be re-recorded because the click was leaking, in the end we used the original recording.
The intro to the song "Friends" shows the uniqueness of having its own background. Arash admitted that when he wanted to make this song and give the material to Petra, he was diligently listening to John Mayer.
I looked at John Mayer's songs and felt like I didn't have a song with an intro like that, didn't have a song identity. Like "I really do love her

The cover for the single "friends" still uses the freehand art or doodle method created by Yusuf Zulkibri. Arash links the existing images as a signal for an upcoming album which is considered quite personal, aka there are many stories about him.
I don't know whether it will relate to people or not. "But what I know is that I can just devote Arash Buana entirely here to the discoveries I've made so far, which are identical to a diary in my opinion for describing situations and feelings," concluded Arash.
