"The film 'KAKA BOSS' will be a comedy-drama film that is funny, exciting and heartwarming because it has a universal and relatable father-daughter theme. "Apart from that, the film will also be wrapped in the strong values of brotherhood from Eastern Indonesia," said Arie Kriting, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Thursday (25/7).
"KAKA BOSS" stars a cast whose majority are people from Eastern Indonesia such as Godfred Orindeod, Glory Hillary, Mamat Alkatiri, Abdur Arsyad, Putri Nere, Nowela Mikhelia, Ge Pamungkas, and Ernest Prakasa. Apart from being a player, Ernest Prakasa also acts as a producer together with Dipa Andika.
Ernest Prakasa admitted that the choice of cast members, the majority of whom were people from Eastern Indonesia, was not without reason. As a producer he wants to maintain the authenticity of the film "KAKA BOSS" which talks about a family from Eastern Indonesia.
"We learned from the film 'Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap' that authenticity is important if you want to tell stories about certain cultures. "The difference here is that Arie Kriting doesn't want to emphasize only certain ethnicities or tribes, but instead wants to emphasize the stronger sense of brotherhood in Eastern Indonesia," explained Ernest Prakasa.
"KAKA BOSS" will be shown in all Indonesian cinema networks starting August 29 2024. Keep up with the latest information and developments on the film "KAKA BOSS" on Instagram @imajinari.id and @film.kaka.boss.
