Paula Verhoeven recently denied rumors of an alleged affair circulating around her divorce from Baim Wong. She clarified through her personal Instagram account, asserting that the rumors were untrue and worried about the impact on their children.
Responding to Paula's statement, Baim Wong through his attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, gave a fairly firm response. According to Fahmi, everyone has the right to deny a lawsuit addressed to them, and can even file a counter-suit if necessary.
"I am talking about a lawsuit, not a legal subject. In a lawsuit, denying or counter-suing is permitted," he said at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Friday (25/10), quoted by brilio.net from liputan6.com
Fahmi added, "If someone is sued and says, 'you are all liars', that is fine. What is important is the evidence and witnesses that can be presented in court."

Fahmi, as a legal practitioner, could not help but laugh when he heard Paula's statement which also touched on accountability in the afterlife. "I only laugh if someone wants to argue. In fact, counter-suing is allowed," he said.

Fahmi also emphasized that if Paula has evidence to refute the allegations, she must present it in the upcoming trial. "If you already have evidence, please bring it during the evidence later," he added.
The divorce trial between Baim and Paula is rescheduled for Monday, October 28, 2024. In the trial, both parties are expected to attend to provide their respective proposals regarding the divorce process.
"God willing, Baim will come with a proposal, and the defendant will also bring a proposal. I am only helping to convey this information. Please come on Monday," concluded Fahmi Bachmid.
