Brilio.net - Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) officially remarried a woman named Syarifah Mona Hasina Alaydrus on Saturday (23/3) afternoon. The marriage contract was held at the HRS residence in the Sentul area, Bogor, West Java. This marriage was quite surprising to the public considering that Habib Rizieq had just died from his first wife, namely, Syarifah Fadhlun binta Fadhil bin Yahya, in December 2023.
"It is true that the marriage of the High Master Imam Al Habib Muhammad Rizieq Syihab with Syarifah Mona Hasina Alaydrus was held," said Rizieq's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, as reported by merdeka6.com.
The marriage of the former leader of the Islamic Defenders Front was carried out simply. The invited guests were only a few relatives. After the ceremony was completed, the event continued with a reception at his residence.
Habib Rizieq admitted that since his first wife left him, he had absolutely no desire to marry again. However, some advice came from relatives and also his seven children who agreed to advise Habib Rizieq to marry. Of course this is with the intention of following the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.
After receiving some advice, Habib Rizieq finally made up his mind and decided he was ready to marry again. His son then immediately tried to find the right wife for Habib. There, Syarifah Mona Hasinah Alaydrus was chosen, who is still the niece of his late first wife.
In terms of age, Habib Rizieq and Syarifah Mona are quite far apart. The habib is 58 years old, while his new wife has just turned 31 years old. So the gap between the two is 27 years.
