In a world increasingly surrounded by gadgets, many parents are confused about when is the right time to introduce electronic devices to their children. One figure who speaks on this is Jess No Limit , a well-known content creator and gamer.

In an interview, Jess, whose real name is Tobias Justin, shared his interesting views on gadget use among children. Jess explained that he chooses not to introduce his toddler to electronic devices.

Although he is known for his gaming and technology content, he wants his children to enjoy the real world and not rely too much on digital devices. According to him, introducing gadgets too early can hinder the development of communication, social interaction, and motor skills in children.

"Honestly, I don't give my child a gadget, because according to the doctor, until the age of 3 years old, they should not be allowed to look at a screen because then their speech will be slow," he said in an interview with doctor Hermanto Tanoko on the Youtube account @Hermanto Tanoko.

Jess added that she is still learning and does not know exactly when she will introduce gadgets to her child, but one thing is for sure, she will not do it before her child is 3 years old.

According to the administrator of the Coordination Work Unit for Growth and Development and Social Pediatrics of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), Fitri Hartanto, there are two factors that cause speech delay in children, namely intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors include organ abnormalities, nerve disorders, and developmental delays, while extrinsic factors are usually caused by lack of stimulation and incorrect learning.

Fitri explained that permissive parenting, where parents follow all the child's wishes without using language, can worsen the situation. Children who are only taught through gestures without words will not learn to speak well. Therefore, it is important for parents to improve parenting and provide proper stimulation.

In this case, Jess No Limit sets a good example for other parents by choosing not to introduce gadgets to her child before the recommended age. By doing so, she hopes that her child can grow well and not experience speech delays.

In general, the right time to introduce gadgets to children is when they are 18 months to two years old. At this age, children's brain functions begin to become active and they need direct interaction to understand what they see. Psychologist Saskhya Aulia Prima recommends that parents choose interactive and easy-to-understand content to help children learn well.
