She announced that she would not be running as a candidate for Mayor of Batu via her personal Instagram story @krisdayantilemos. In addition, she also apologized to the party and the general chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).

But not long after, Atta Halilintar's father-in-law suddenly deleted his post. He also quickly provided clarification about the post by stating that he was ready to continue to run as a contestant in the 2024 Pilkada.

"So I ask for prayers and blessings, especially from the people of Batu City, because my upload yesterday on social media received various responses. This is a turning point for me to rise, never to back down. God willing, I will make sure to move forward," said Kris Dayanti as quoted by brilio.net from liputan6.com on Saturday (24/8).
The pop diva admitted that the post stating that she was stepping down was a form of personal expression. As a wife and mother, Kris Dayanti is faced with quite a lot of responsibilities. She also admitted that she was preparing herself for the transition period from the legislative to the executive.

"I apologize if my post has caused concern. But that is my human nature as a wife and mother, and also the dynamics within myself as I prepare myself for the transition period from legislative to executive," she explained.
Kris Dayanti further said that the cancellation was also a form of anxiety. She said that there were various responses that came after she uploaded the statement. Starting from the central ranks of the party to volunteers, they were also anxious to find Kris Dayanti's post.
"From the leadership ranks, functionaries, seniors, even besties in the Indonesian House of Representatives, volunteer children in Batu City, DPC, branches, sub-branches. There must be anxiety raging. But earlier I was sent a photo of them competing in the 17th of August, which looks like they are back in high spirits," he said.

Kris Dayanti expressed her gratitude for the support that came, especially from the people of Batu City regarding her nomination as a candidate for Mayor of Batu City. She also added that when the news spread, many residents of Batu City expressed their disappointment.
"Alhamdulillah, many Batu City residents have told me that they will be disappointed if I withdraw from the candidacy. Thank you very much for the support of the community, especially Batu City residents, for me," he said.
When asked if she had made peace with her inner restlessness, Kris Dayanti suspected that it would happen again. However, she was determined to continue to accompany the people of Batu City if she was later elected.
