Brilio.net - The case of Domestic Violence (KDRT) experienced by former Fencing athlete and celebrity, Cut Intan Nabila is currently in the public spotlight. The act of abuse was recorded by a surveillance camera or CCTV which was uploaded on Intan's Instagram account.
In the video, Armor is seen beating and strangling Cut Intan Nabila on the bed indiscriminately. Armor's act of abuse even kicked the baby sleeping next to him. Accompanying her upload, Cut Intan said that this was not the first time she had experienced such abuse.
"All this time I have survived because of my child, this is not the first time I have experienced domestic violence, there are dozens of other videos that I have kept as evidence, I have been married for 5 years, many women's names have colored my household, some are even my friends," he explained.
For his actions, the public also criticized Armor Toreador. Given, the perpetrator had fled after committing the assault. However, the police managed to arrest the perpetrator. Bogor Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rio Wahyu Anggoro said, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, West Java arrested Armor on Tuesday (13/8) at a hotel in South Jakarta.
"He (Armor Toreador) has been caught at a hotel in South Jakarta. He is currently on his way to the Police," said Bogor Police Chief, AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro, as reported by liputan6.com, Wednesday (14/8).
However, Rio has not detailed the process of catching Armor when he tried to escape. Currently the police are still questioning Armor. This case will also be released by the Bogor Police today, Wednesday (14/8).
Meanwhile, Sukaraja Police Chief, Commissioner Birman Simanullang, also confirmed that the alleged domestic violence case experienced by Cut Intan Nabila by her husband occurred in his jurisdiction. Birman said that the victim is currently being handled by the PPA Unit of the Bogor Police.
"Yes, that's right, it happened in my area. Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit members are conducting further investigations," said Birman.
Birman added that the case of abuse against Cut Intan is domestic violence abuse in the Criminal Code. Perpetrators of domestic violence can be charged with Article 44-53 paragraph 1-4 of Law Number 23 of 2004. In addition to criminal penalties, judges can also impose additional penalties on perpetrators of domestic violence in the form of restricting the perpetrator's movement and ordering the perpetrator to participate in a counseling program.
