Not without reason, both of them were criticized for showing off a luxurious lifestyle in the midst of the political and social situation in the country which was heating up due to allegations that Kaesang was running as a gubernatorial candidate.
After the news went viral, Kaesang Pangarep was silent for a while. But recently Gibran Rakabuming's younger brother spoke up about showing off eating Rp400 thousand bread.

In the YouTube content upload Welcome to PDP Kaesang Pangarep had a dialogue with Baim Cilik and Kiki Saputri. In the video clip circulating on social media, Kaesang is seen giving clarification on buying bread at an exorbitant price.
In the chat, they were discussing the popularity of Baim Cilik. But not long after, Baim brought up the Rp400 thousand bread that made Kaesang even more famous.

"In fact, if we are observant, Ms. Erina was protesting, 'Why is this bread so expensive'," continued Kiki Saputri, joining in her defense.
Kiki further explained that netizens misunderstood Erina Gudono's upload at that time. According to her, the upload was a form of Erina's protest because the price of bread was quite expensive.
Immediately responding, Kaesang Pangarep also provided clarification regarding the bread post. Kaesang said that he bought the bread for his pregnant wife.

After buying the bread, Kaesang and his wife were surprised at the price of the bread, so they had a little argument. According to Kaesang, the two of them could not live in the US because bread alone is quite expensive.
"My wife is pregnant, sit down and I'll buy it for you," said Kaesang Pangarep.
"I got a lobster roll and it turned out to be 25 dollars. I asked back, 'How much is it, sir?', '25 dollars', 'How much is that?', 'Around 400 thousand', 'That's really expensive'," Kaesang explained when buying the bread.
According to Kaesang, he bought the bread because it was so expensive that if Erina invited him to live in the US, he would spend his salary just to buy bread like that.
"Well, if you invite me to live here (US), my salary will run out just to buy this," said Kaesang.
It was further explained that buying bread for Rp400 thousand was quite difficult for Kaesang and Erina. Therefore, netizens were asked not to misunderstand Erina's upload that went viral some time ago.
The upload also received many comments from netizens after hearing clarification from Kaesang Pangarep.
