Doddy, as his maternal grandfather, is actually allowed to meet Gala, but he must have permission from Haji Faisal. However, Doddy objected to having to ask permission just because he wanted to meet his grandson. He admitted that he could only watch Gala's development and become active through social media.

According to him, the mechanism for asking permission is quite burdensome, making it difficult for him to meet his grandchildren. According to him, this procedure should not have been carried out. Moreover, when asking for permission, Doddy is always asked to include a reason.
"The reason is that if you want to meet, you have to have permission, that's what makes Daddy not want to go there. Why do you have to have permission? Yes, there are procedures that have to be followed to meet grandchildren, so you don't have to, Daddy thinks. There's something you have to do to meet grandchildren, isn't that nice? " he explained.
Even though the opportunity to meet grandchildren could have happened recently. The reason is, Gala just had her 4th birthday on July 14. However, Doddy was not invited to the birthday celebration. At that time, Gala held an event to meet superheroes, which was her favorite.

"We weren't invited, last year we weren't invited either. Yes, that's okay. It really has to be celebrated, Gala is a special child, her father and mother left her. So every birthday has to be celebrated. Daddy not being invited, that's okay," said Doddy.
However, he still celebrated his grandson's birthday by making a pilgrimage to Vanessa Angel's grave. For him, this is one way because the last time he celebrated Gala's birthday was 3 years ago.
"The last time Daddy celebrated Gala's birthday with Mayang was 3 years ago, which means he was 1 year old. After that he didn't celebrate anymore. Especially now that his father doesn't have his mother, as a grandfather or aunt, it must be sad," said Doddy.
