Brilio.net - Galiech Ridha Rahardja finally broke his silence regarding the various negative issues that emerged in the midst of his divorce process with Asri Welas . He responded to the news that said he changed religions and practiced polygamy, which was linked to being the trigger for the breakdown of their household.
This step was taken by Galiech to stop the increasingly uncontrolled public speculation. He felt the need to straighten out the misunderstanding so that the confusing news could be answered clearly.
Galiech began his classification by responding to the issue that he had converted. He asserted that the news was baseless and completely untrue. Until now, he still embraces Islam as he has believed since birth.
"Yes, I heard a lot of it in the media, some on YouTube too. I'll clarify it here too," said Galiech, quoted by brilio.net from KapanLagi.com on Friday (20/12).
Through this statement, Galiech hopes to stop speculation and rumors that continue to spread wildly in society. He ensures that he remains steadfast in his beliefs and emphasizes that the information is a hoax.
"First, someone said that I changed my religion. That was clearly a hoax because until now I was born as a Muslim, thank God," said Galiech firmly.
In addition, Galiech also dismissed allegations that he had remarried. According to him, so far he has only been married to Asri Welas, without a second marriage. This statement was made to answer rumors that said he had another wife.
"Secondly, I was told that I had remarried, oh my. I can check the data. I was only married once to Ms. Asri," he said.
He also asked the public not to easily believe unfounded news. As a public figure, Galiech is aware of the risks of such gossip, but he ensures that its truth can be proven.
"Then I was (said) to be a polygamist, that is also not true at all. You can check if you don't believe me. I only married once to Ms. Asri. So things that lead in that direction, I can say are not true," Galiech added.
Galiech also mentioned an incident in the past that he considered surprising. However, he chose not to reveal the details of the incident to the public. He felt that it was enough for him and Asri to deal with.
"Yes, it's okay, right? Everyone will answer straight away. If the diplomatic answer is like this, it will definitely be straight away. Why is that? What's going on? That's definitely reasonable, right? People will definitely be used to it," he explained.
Galiech called the incident one of the big moments in his household with Asri Welas. However, he ensured that the incident did not have to be public consumption.
"Well, if not economic, what else is there to do with divorce, a third person. It must have been linked to that. The incident that happened 4 years ago shocked me and maybe even Mbak Asri. Only Mbak Asri and I know about that," he concluded.
