Brilio.net/en - A recent study conducted by the international group Essilor aimed to analyse the impact of screens on human vision, and try to find the link with visual trouble. The press release reveals some interesting facts about the use of smartphones, indispensables items of our daily lives, especially when now basically every aspect of our lives is available and happening on line.
Even if only a small portion of smartphones users have been interviewed, we will all recognize ourselves in some of the statements! So basically, among the 1.5 billion people in the world using a smartphone daily:

The last fact perfectly illustrates the current FOBO phenomenon (Fear Of Being Offline), when people realise they cant be without a phone for even just a day. As you may imagine, the overall conclusion of the study is that we all spend way too much time in front of our screens. This can also be considered as a gentle reminder: when it comes to improve ones sight, staring at a screen all day causes eye dryness and tension of the optic nerves! A very bad combo that leads to many eye troubles of course, but also migraines, tiredness and lack of concentration.
The question now is, how do we solve that problem? Because right now, its pretty sure that 100% of smartphone users wont stop using their phone even knowing that its bad for them...!
