The 'ledhek gogik' costume was worn by the father-in-law as a vow to wear a unique costume to welcome the success of his daughter-in-law, who had just graduated from the Doctoral Subspecialist Doctorate level.
"A Geriatric Subspecialist. I have a vow that if my child graduates, he will be a Specialist," he said, quoted by Liputan6.com from a video uploaded by IG @ugm.yogyakarta.
In the video, the man who works as an artist also attached a family photo when his son graduated. The touching moment broke out when his daughter-in-law came out of the room and met her father-in-law.
Her daughter said that her father-in-law was a cultural figure. With tears in her eyes, she revealed that her father-in-law was her personal patient.
"I happened to be majoring in internal medicine and taking geriatrics for the elderly, so it turned out that my personal patient was my own father. So it turned out that he followed me here, I didn't expect it. I was going to follow him, but it turned out to be a surprise," said the daughter.
The daughter who is known as Sarly Puspita Ariesta also explained some photos brought by her father-in-law. One of them is a family photo when she graduated from the Specialist which was done online at that time.
She also proudly showed her family photos at her husband's graduation with a Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering. The photos she brought were printed by herself before leaving for Grha Sabha Pramana UGM.
