Brilio.net - Mukena is an important prayer equipment for Muslim women, used to cover the head to the feet during prayer. One set of mukena consists of a top and bottom, and because it is worn almost every day, mukena is prone to dirt and stains. Mukena is often wet at the ends because of ablution water, and if not hung, it can become damp, causing yellow stains.
These stains can also appear due to sweat during prayer. If not washed immediately, the yellow stains will be stubborn and difficult to remove, making the mukena look dull. However, there is a way to overcome this by making a special cleaning fluid. YouTube user Bunda Ipi shares a trick to remove yellow stains on a cream mukena with the addition of one kitchen ingredient.
As reported by brilio.net on Tuesday (4/2), the YouTube user used dish soap as an additional cleaning agent. In addition to dish soap, he also used liquid detergent, citric acid, V*n*sh (bleach), and warm water to make a mixture of cleaning fluid.

The YouTube user initially brushed the yellow stains with an unused toothbrush. However, the yellow stains were already stubborn and difficult to clean. Finally, she soaked the yellow-stained mukena with a mixture of cleaning fluid that had been made.
She soaked the mukena for several hours before finally brushing it again. After brushing, the mukena was washed as usual with liquid detergent. Rinse and dry the mukena, then dry it in the sun until dry.

The yellow stains that initially looked thick on the top of the mukena have also started to fade and lift. As a result, the cream mukena that was covered in yellow stains is clean again like new. The mukena also looks clean and fragrant again.
