Brilio.net - An unexpected moment occurred at Bogor Station on Tuesday (3/6) night when a female passenger gave birth spontaneously in the toilet area. The incident caught the public's attention after the video was spread on social media.
The woman named Alfa was known to be on her way to Jakarta alone. No one expected that her advanced pregnancy would actually lead her to a sudden labor process in the middle of the trip.
KAI Commuter immediately responded by providing assistance. The birthing process took place in the station's health post room before Alfa and her baby were finally referred to the hospital.

A woman named Alfa who was heavily pregnant was known to be in the toilet of Bogor Station when she suddenly felt strong contractions. At that time the time was around 20.30 WIB, and the situation happened quite suddenly.
KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan, said that the labor process occurred spontaneously.
"The incident began when a user who was heavily pregnant was in the station toilet and felt contractions, so she suddenly gave birth at around 20.30 WIB," said Leza, quoted from Antara on Wednesday (4/6).
2. Officers promptly assisted in evacuation to the health room.

Upon learning that a passenger was about to give birth, Bogor Station security officers immediately took swift action. Alfa was evacuated using a stretcher to the health post room to receive initial medical treatment. According to Leza, the first aid came from the security team on duty at the station that night.
"Bogor Station Security Officers immediately provided assistance by carrying the pregnant woman to the Health Post room using a stretcher," he said.
3. Spontaneous birth due to gestational age of 36 weeks.

After being evacuated to the health room, the labor process took place quickly. This happened because Alfa's pregnancy had entered its 36th week, which meant that the baby was full term to be born.
Leza explained that the mother's condition after giving birth was stable, although she still looked weak and felt cramps.
"After giving birth, the mother's condition was relatively stable even though she still felt weak and had stomach cramps," he said.
4. Referred to Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital for further treatment.
After receiving initial treatment from the station's health workers, the mother and her baby were not immediately sent home. Both were referred to Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, Bogor to receive more complete medical care.
According to Leza, the referral process is carried out under the supervision of officers to ensure patient safety and comfort.
"After receiving initial treatment at the station, the mother and baby were then referred to Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, Bogor, for further treatment with assistance from officers," he explained.
5. The passenger is known to be alone and unaccompanied.

From the identification results, Alfa turned out to be a resident of Kampung Lio, Pancoran Mas, Depok, West Java. He planned to travel from Bogor to Jakarta alone without being accompanied by family or relatives.
Leza regretted the situation and appealed to all passengers to always prioritize their health and not hesitate to ask for help.
"So he wanted to leave Bogor for Jakarta. No one accompanied him. He was alone," he said.
