When famed physicist Stephen Hawking thought that making contact with extraterrestrial creatures would be a bad idea indeed, a sci-fi film "Skyline" in 2010 tried to show us what would happen if we turn down his warning. Perhaps, you could not even remember that movie, but a full trailer for its spin-off sequel "Beyond Skyline" has just been dropped to remind you.

Set concurrently with the original film, Frank Grillo (Zero Dark Thirty, Captain America: Civil War, The Purge: Election Year) is a father who is on quest to free his son during a worldwide alien attack. Being sucked into the space aircraft, he is stranded across the planet and finds the leader of an underground human resistance, Iko Uwais (The Raid, Headshot, Star Wars: Force Awakens).

Filmed in Batam and Yogyakarta, "Beyond Skyline" by director Liam O’Donnell is set to open this year.
