Brilio.net - Gadjah Mada University (UGM) was awarded in the Rocket Loads and Indonesian Rocket Competition (Komurindo) and Atmosphere Balloon Load Competition (KOMBAT) 2015. At the competition held in Pameungpeuk, Garut, West Java in August 2 - 5, 2015, Gadjah Mada Aerospace Team successfully achieved first place in the rocket loads and the second place in EDF category.
One of the team members, Dyah Pribandaru said that there were 56 teams from 27 universities in Indonesia that joined the event. There were 20 teams in the EDF category, 20 teams in rocket loads category, and 16 teams participated in the Atmosphere Balloon Category (Kombat).
"UGM team triumphed in this competition after winning a gold and a silver," said Dyah as quoted by brilio.net from UGM official website, Friday (7/8).
Overall for the rocket loads category, Gathotkaca team from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) won first place, StarPENSky-X4 team from Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya won second place, and Krakatau 5.6 team from STMIK Teknorat Bandar Lampung was in third place.
In the EDF category, DIRK RKF-SCUTUM team from Indonesian Computer University won first place. UFO team from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) came in second place, and Flashships team from Surabaya Shipbuilding State Polytechnic came in third place.
Meanwhile, in the Atmosphere Balloon Category, Arakula APTRG team from Telkom University became the first prize winners, Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya was the second prize winners, and ERGSAT-XI VI5 team from Indonesian Computer University came in third.
