The Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) secured a naked man trying to breach the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday.

The man who goes under the initial B approached the palace through the Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara entrance which was guarded by Paspampres and military police officers.

Paspampres Commander Maj. Gen. Suhartono confirmed the man was not an intruder. The man was later found to come from Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

"Not an intruder, he was just running naked from the direction of National Monument (Monas), crossing the road ahead of the palace, then apprehended by Paspampres members on duty," said Suhartono as quoted from Antara.

The person turned out to suffer from a mental disorder, according to the reports from Suhartono's subordinate.

"There's an indication of [the person to suffer] mental disorder, but for further investigation, [the case] has been taken over by Gambir Police," he added.
