Grojogan Sewu Kulonprogo is the name of this natural beauty. This new tourist spot is located in Beteng, Jatimulyo village, Girimulyo, Kulonprogo, DI Yogyakarta.

The waterfall is named Grojogan Sewu (A Thousand Waterfalls) because there are many streams which flows through the hillside and fall directly into a river. The crystal clear water, even in a rainy season, attracts many tourists to this beautiful waterfall. Moreover, the lush trees from the surrounding woods make this waterfall cool and shady all day long.

Although this area has all the basic facilities, they are still modest in nature. For only IDR 2.000, you can gain entry to the waterfall, and you can even get a taste of the local delicacy which is sambel dawet.

Arriving at the area, vehicles can be parked in the yard of the local residents (of course, by asking their permission first). To reach the location of Grojogan Sewu, you have to pass through a downhill path for about 15 minutes. The trek down is easy because the local people have made staircases towards the waterfall.

Upon first sight of the crystal clear waters of Grojogan Sewu, all tiredness from the brief trek will be healed. It will make you want to jump in immediately and bath in the refreshing pool while letting all your worries disappear.
