It is the largest mass shooting in the history of America. The crime was operated by a single man, apparently radicalized to extremist Islamic movements, inspired by radical material he found online.
In case of such dramatic event, cities all around the world expressed their sympathy by lighting their most emblematic monuments with the flag colours of the country hit by the event. Vigils and pacific demonstration are also been organised.
In the case of the Orlando killing, it appears clearly that it was the LGBT community that was targeted by the gunman. Therefore, the colours of the LGBT flag were represented in many places all over the globe.

1. In London, in order to pay respects to the victims of the massacre, thousands lined the streets of Soho, a district traditionally known as a hub for the gay community in Great Britain.

4. Sydney honoured the dead by shining bright rainbow lights across the famous citys Harbour Bridge.

5. Athens, LGBT allies in Greece rallied together on Tuesday, June 14, to pay tribute to the killings in Orlando. Hundreds marched through the citys streets as they held rainbow flags and signs inscribed with messages such as, Orlando, we are bleeding together.

6. Tel aviv is known for being one of the most only gay-friendly city of the middle east, it is the only city of the region that publicly pay tribute to the victims of the attack.

7. Many monuments and representative towers of New York were illuminated, and vigils were organised in different parts of the city.

8. In Los Angeles, the southern Californias LGBT community came out to show their support along with many celebrities such as Lady Gaga, who gave a very emotional speech during the vigil that took place near the city hall.

9. And of course the most impressive vigils took place in Orlando, where thousands of Floridians assembled on Monday to mourn those who lost their lives.
