Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven's divorce process is now entering its final stage. On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the verdict hearing took place at the South Jakarta Religious Court. Although the hearing was conducted via e-court, Baim was still present accompanied by his three older siblings.
On that occasion, Baim spoke to the media about his feelings ahead of the divorce decision . He revealed that he did not want to focus on who won or lost in this case.
"Relieved, happy, and also heavy, this is one of the hardest trials for me, but it means too much. Whatever the decision, we don't think about winning or losing," he said.
Furthermore, Baim emphasized, "Whatever it is, I will not hold grudges or be angry with anyone." He also gave a message to Paula ahead of this trial.
"I told Paula, my father and mother are gone, let's calm down about this. Hopefully after this, everyone can calm down and there will be no more unnecessary posts," he added.
Baim also emphasized the importance of maintaining the family's privacy. "I maintain what I know about this incident. I let the courts speak. I really protect the mother's privacy and also the privacy of the person we are suing," he explained.
He also regretted that it was not entirely Paula's fault, and there was one person who needed to explain this situation, namely his friend, Nico. "I waited a year for him to explain to me," said Baim.
On the other hand, Baim hopes that the public will no longer worsen the situation. "Just pray, everything will be fine. Please don't blame me or Paula. I pity my children if they read this news," he asked.
His two older brothers, Daud, Fitri, and Muhamad Hamzah, gave moral support to Baim. "We hope for the best, whatever the result, we must accept it. Baim has surrendered this matter to God and does not want to wallow in sadness," said Daud.
"Baim is a resigned person, surrendering to Allah, because there is a way for everything. We always pray, whatever happens, there is a way," concluded Daud.
