Deddy Corbuzier , widely known as a presenter and mentalist, has just been appointed as a special staff (stafsus) to the Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto. In a video uploaded on his personal account, Deddy emphasized that he will not take a salary from this position.
"Okay, because this is my friend and also the public who is asking about efficiency and salary issues, first of all, this is what the special staff is not just me, there are five people. But I know that if my news is brought up, it will be a big deal," said Deddy.
He explained that there were four other people who were inaugurated with him, and they were all extraordinary individuals. However, he felt that the public attention was more focused on him.
Deddy emphasized that from the start, he had conveyed to the Ministry of Defense that he would not take a salary or anything material.
"I will not take anything at all, because first I know that I don't need it. Second, I know that the community needs it more," he added.
In the inauguration that took place on February 11, 2025, the Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, inaugurated six special staff, including Deddy Corbuzier. On that occasion, Sjafrie emphasized the importance of collaboration in maintaining the country's sovereignty. He hopes that with the presence of these new special staff, innovations and policies will be born that can strengthen national defense.
With this appointment, Deddy Corbuzier not only adds to his long career list, but also shows his commitment to contribute to the country without expecting material rewards. This is a step that deserves appreciation, especially amidst the many criticisms of public officials who are often caught up in salary and efficiency issues.
