Brilio.net - A number of celebrities or even influencers often share their morning routines or habits when they wake up. Various activities are usually done, starting from exercise, breakfast, or just cleaning themselves after waking up. Not only that, there are also those who have skincare routines that are often done in the morning, such as Citra Anindya.
Recently, Citra shared her morning skincare routine through her personal Instagram account, @ncit90. In a short 16-second video, Chef Juna's girlfriend showed off her bare face when she woke up. Still wearing pajamas, Citra was seen tidying up her hair, then placing a glass bowl filled with water and some ice cubes.
"That fresh morning hit of dopamine," wrote Citra, quoted by briliobeauty.net from Instagram @ncit90, Monday (9/6).

After further investigation, the ice water was used to compress his face when he woke up. Yup! This DJ soaked the front of his face into the basin for a few seconds. He then compressed the right and left sides of his face alternately in the ice water for the same duration.

Indeed, basically, compressing the face with ice water in the morning after waking up has many benefits for the health and appearance of the skin. One of the most direct effects is refreshing the skin and helping to reduce swelling, especially in the eye area. When sleeping, blood circulation can slow down and cause the face to look puffy. The cold touch of ice water helps to temporarily narrow the blood vessels, thereby reducing swelling and making the face look fresher and firmer.

In addition, the cold temperature of ice can help shrink pores temporarily. Large pores are often the entry point for dirt and excess oil that triggers acne. By compressing the face with ice, the skin surface becomes smoother and the pores appear tighter. This not only makes the skin look cleaner, but also becomes a preventive measure against acne that often appears due to clogged pores.
Another benefit is to relieve inflammation on acne-prone skin. Ice water has a calming effect and can reduce redness and pain in inflamed acne. With regular use, skin inflammation can subside more quickly and acne does not develop into something worse. Ice can also help control excess oil production, which is one of the main causes of acne on the face.
