Brilio.net - Makeup trends have been growing rapidly lately, with various brands competing to present the latest products that attract attention. Starting from cushions with a glowing finish, eyeshadows with unique colors, to lipsticks that promise extra durability, all are easy to find and continue to emerge. It is no wonder that social media is full of reviews and recommendations for beauty products that look tempting to try.

However, behind the enthusiasm for the trend, there is another side that is often overlooked. The urge to buy more makeup products often makes people forget their real needs.

Many people feel like they have to have it; just because the product is going viral or is claimed as a must-have item by a beauty influencer. As a result, the makeup collection piles up, while only a handful are actually used every day.

This habit is not only risky to thin your wallet, but it can also create unnecessary waste. Makeup products have an expiration date, and if not used within a certain time, their quality can decrease or even be harmful to the skin. Therefore, you need to be more selective in choosing and buying products that tend to be used frequently.

But it is undeniable that some people sometimes want to try new products. Well, if that's the case, you can just use the alternative, like Instagram user @paohilda did.

Through one of the uploaded videos, this makeup artist once shared an alternative cream blush or cream-textured blush on. Instead of buying her own cream blush , she chose to rely on existing makeup products.

How to make cream blush from 2 makeup ingredients

Reported by briliobeauty.net from Instagram @paohilda, Monday (9/6), the MUA admitted to only using lip cream and a little foundation or cushion. Lip cream usually has a thick color, while foundation or cushion helps soften the color to blend better with the skin, while making the texture easier to blend. This mixture can also be adjusted in intensity according to taste and skin color.

To make it, simply prepare a lip cream in the desired color (pink, peach, or mauve) for a fresh cheek look. Take a little lip cream on the back of your hand or mixing palette, then add a small pump of foundation or a little cushion product using the applicator.

Mix gently with your fingers or a small brush until well blended and creates a creamy yet lightweight texture. The more foundation you add, the softer and more natural the color will be.

Once you have the right mixture, apply the cream blush to your cheeks using your fingers, a sponge, or a brush. Start from the apple of your cheeks and blend upwards following your cheekbones for a lifting effect.

Because of its creamy texture, this product will blend better with the skin, especially if used before powder. If you want a longer-lasting look, this blush can also be layered again with a little blush powder on top.

The advantage of this technique is not only about savings, but also flexibility. You can create the blush color you want without having to buy additional products.

In addition, the resulting texture makes the face look fresher and glowing, suitable for everyday looks or special events. With creativity and the right blending techniques, makeup can still be maximized without having to be wasteful.
